What it is

Playground is a Claude Code plugin from Anthropic. It creates interactive HTML playgrounds, which are self-contained single-file explorers. In each one the user configures something visually through controls, sees a live preview, and copies out a prompt. Every playground follows the same layout. Interactive controls sit on one side and a live preview sits on the other. A prompt output with a copy button runs along the bottom. The user adjusts the controls and explores visually, then copies the generated prompt back into Claude. The plugin is meant for requests for an interactive playground, explorer, or visual tool on a topic. It fits best when the input space is large, visual, or structural and hard to express as plain text. The skill ships with templates for common playground types: - design-playground covers visual design decisions such as components, layouts, spacing, color, and typography. - data-explorer covers data and query building, including SQL, APIs, pipelines, and regex. - concept-map covers learning and exploration, such as concept maps, knowledge gaps, and scope mapping. - document-critique covers document review, with suggestions handled through an approve/reject/comment workflow.
