Setup

  1. Install on macOS/Linux (Recommended)

    Run the official install script.

  2. Install via Homebrew (macOS/Linux)

    Install the Claude Code cask with Homebrew.

    brew install --cask claude-code

  3. Install on Windows (Recommended)

    Run the official PowerShell install script.

    irm https://claude.ai/install.ps1 | iex

  4. Install via WinGet (Windows)

    Install the package with WinGet.

    winget install Anthropic.ClaudeCode

  5. Install via NPM (Deprecated)

    Installation via npm is deprecated. Use one of the recommended methods above instead.

  6. Start Claude Code

    Navigate to your project directory and run claude.
