What it is
Emails is a marketing skill for designing multi-email automated flows that move people through the customer relationship toward conversion. It covers four main sequence types: welcome sequences (3-7 emails to activate new signups), lead nurture (5-10 emails for pre-sale trust building), re-engagement (3-5 emails to win back inactive subscribers), and onboarding (5-10 emails to guide users toward activation). The skill is built on four strategic principles: one email one job (each message has a single purpose and CTA), value before ask (build trust through useful content before selling), relevance over volume (fewer high-quality emails outperform high frequency), and clear path forward (every email moves recipients to the next step). It explicitly avoids AI-generated patterns like contrast reveals and stock phrases to keep email copy sounding human. Three reference documents support the skill: sequence-templates.md for flow structure and timing, email-types.md for lifecycle audit checklists, and copy-guidelines.md for personalization and testing strategies. The skill deliberately excludes cold outreach (handled by a separate cold-email skill) and in-app onboarding notifications (handled by the onboarding skill).
