What it is
CRO is a conversion rate optimization skill from the marketingskills collection that turns an AI coding agent into a systematic page auditor. It analyzes marketing pages across seven dimensions in order of impact: value proposition clarity, headline effectiveness, CTA placement and copy, visual hierarchy, trust signals and social proof, objection handling, and friction points. The skill routes to specialized reference files depending on the user's intent. Form abandonment issues load a dedicated form optimization guide covering field decisions, layouts, errors, and trust. Experiment ideas load a comprehensive hypothesis library organized by page type. This reference-routing approach keeps the core skill focused while giving access to deep tactical guidance when needed. Output is structured into three tiers: quick wins for immediate implementation, high-impact changes that require more effort, and test hypotheses worth A/B testing rather than assuming. For key elements like headlines and CTAs, it provides two to three alternatives with rationale. The skill also includes page-specific CRO frameworks for homepages, landing pages, pricing pages, feature pages, and blog posts.
